My cousins, Ursula and D.J. Markey, run the Pyramid Community Parent Resource Center of New Orleans, Louisiana. Because of Hurricane Katrina, the hundreds of families and children they serve are facing some of their greatest challenges ever. Yet the Center is now under several feet of water. The Beach Center on Disability at the University of Kansas has set up a Pyramid Parent Trust Fund as a way to support the Center and the families it serves.
