A Love Like Damien's

What often gets overlooked in discussions regarding politics and social change is that the issues, however mobilizing and polarizing they may be, all have intersections with the personal, and it is in people's daily lives, sometimes the smallest of settings, that these issues have the largest and most powerful impact.

I am happy to be associated with the production of the second run of a play that demonstrates this, A Love Like Damien's. The issue addressed is homophobia and the Black church, and a young man's struggle with acceptance. An interesting script and some strong performances, with elements of dance and humor, as well as wonderful music, this show will leave audiences wonderfully entertained, and with much to think about and discuss.

There wouldn't happen to be any plans to tour with that show, would there? Sounds like something Dallas could use.

thanks for your interest in the show. i am happy to have been a part of the production and think the work deserves a much wider audience. there are no plans to tour with the show at the moment. however, anything is possible. if you (or anyone reading this for that matter) are interested in producing the show at a theater near you (and have and/or are connected to the resources to do so), please contact me (email link to the left below).

PEACE!
