HAPPY SOLSTICE!!! - Season's Greetings

Winter Solstice - The Reason for the Season

you may know that, for thousands of years, long before current religious traditions, peoples around the world have held this time of year as sacred. the Winter Solstice, marks the changing of seasons, the shortest day of the year...and the longest night.

through the years, various cultures have celebrated the solstice in a variety of ways.

I encourage you to find your own meaning, and even create a ritual of personal significance.

for me it is always a time to slow down and reflect. and, being partial to sunshine, I celebrate in anticipation of longer days and the coming warmth after winter.

the precise moment of the 2004 solstice was December 21, 2004 at 7:42 A.M. EST (12:42 UT).

below are a few links you may find interesting.

may the season's best find it's way to your heart.

PEACE!

Bryan
