Spring has always been the best season for me. The awakening from the doldrums of winter. It is always good to me, despite the fact that I tend to favor summer and claim it [Summer] as my "favorite" season. As a fan of hot weather, I am seduced by sweltering summer days sipping my own homemade Lemon Berry Breeze iced tea, casual cookouts at a friend's house, summer fruits, trips to the beach, and the gloriously long days filled with sunshine till late in the evening. Oh, Summer!

But alas, it is Spring who always rescues me. Well beyond the point when I think I can't take it any longer...the cold, they greyness, the eternal lingering of the earth's frigid hibernation...Spring arrives to rejuvenate me, the arrival always so magnificent that all tardiness is forgiven, all resentment lost in the rapture of sunshine, warmth and new birth. Spring! Your arrival is our annual lesson that hope springs eternal. I honor you, and thank my ancestors that I have lived to see you again. Ache.

I walked through Rock Creek Park on Saturday. It was beautiful.

I was listening to the radio here in Accra yesterday, and the trivia question was: What do adults do on average of 15 times a day, and kids up to 400 times a day?
